Pirates of all sorts
Throughout history people have talked about explorers such as Christopher Columbus or Sir Francis Drake as role models. People have talked about them exploring the seas and helping out mankind discover more uncharted places. But do we even know what they do off screen. By that I mean we don't fully know what they do from what they say. It is said in Buccaneers and Pirates that Columbus brought with him bloodhounds which he used to catch poor Indians. To me I didn't know that, I thought he was a man who cherished life and valued everything about it, but to hear him catch Indians and rob people just shows that these men aren't who they say they are. Just like Drake as well, he went and attacked the cacafuego because he knew of the treasures aboard the ship. He tricked the ship in thinking that he was friendly, but turned it around and attacked them. To the country who he served he distributed all the funds to everyone and was claimed a hero. In truth there all just thieves, nothing more and nothing less.
